Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about multistreaming with StreamRove.

Multistreaming (or simulcasting) means broadcasting one live video to several platforms at the same time. With StreamRove you go live once and your stream is delivered to YouTube, Twitch and any custom RTMP destination simultaneously.

RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) sends live video from an encoder like OBS to a streaming server using an ingest URL and a stream key. You point your encoder at StreamRove's RTMP URL and StreamRove restreams your feed to every connected destination.

SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is a low-latency streaming protocol that delivers high-quality video over unpredictable networks and recovers from packet loss. StreamRove accepts SRT ingest for more resilient contribution than RTMP, ideal for remote or mobile connections.

RTMPS is RTMP secured with TLS encryption. StreamRove supports RTMPS ingest so your stream key and video are encrypted in transit between your encoder and the cloud.

WHIP is a WebRTC-based ingest protocol for sub-second latency. StreamRove supports WHIP for ultra-low-latency contribution from compatible encoders and browsers, alongside RTMP and SRT.

Yes. Connect both YouTube and Twitch — plus any other platforms — and StreamRove sends your single feed to all of them at the same time. There is no need for multiple encoders or extra upload bandwidth.

By default StreamRove forwards your feed to each destination without re-encoding, preserving quality and adding no extra latency. Smart Output Profiles recommend the tightest encoder settings that satisfy every destination you've connected.

Yes. OBS Studio works out of the box — paste StreamRove's RTMP or SRT ingest URL and stream key into OBS and go live to every destination at once.

Yes. vMix and any RTMP, RTMPS, SRT or WHIP encoder can stream to StreamRove. Enter the ingest URL and stream key from your StreamRove stream and start broadcasting.

StreamRove passes your encoder's video through without re-encoding it, so the quality your destinations receive is the quality you send. We do not currently transcode or cap resolution per plan.

Yes. Connect a Facebook page or profile and StreamRove delivers your live stream to Facebook Live alongside YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn and your other destinations.

Yes. StreamRove connects to YouTube and Twitch directly, and reaches Kick, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, X, Rumble and more via custom RTMP, SRT or WHIP.

YouTube and Twitch connect with your account. Everything else — Facebook, Kick, LinkedIn, X and the rest — works as a custom RTMP destination, which streams identically but is not a one-click connection. Simultaneous destinations run from 2 on Sandbox to 8 on Control.

No. You upload a single stream to StreamRove once and it fans out to every destination in the cloud. Your upload bandwidth stays the same no matter how many platforms you add.

StreamRove supports encrypted ingest with RTMPS and SRT passphrases, TLS everywhere, encrypted stream keys, optional two-factor authentication, and role-based workspace access for teams.

StreamRove keeps a reconnect window so a brief drop resumes automatically. On Control, stream continuity pushes a holding screen to your destinations while your encoder is away, so the broadcast does not simply end.

For multistreaming, StreamRove uses H.264 video and AAC audio because that is the codec every platform accepts over RTMP. Send an H.264 feed from OBS or vMix for maximum compatibility — HEVC/H.265 is not required.

When your encoder drops, stream continuity keeps the broadcast alive by sending a holding screen to your destinations until you reconnect, rather than letting the stream end. It is available on Control and above. A second redundant ingest endpoint is not part of this yet.

StreamRove ingests H.264 video and AAC audio over RTMP, RTMPS, SRT or WHIP — the universal standard supported by every major streaming platform.

For 1080p60, around 6,000 kbps video with a 2-second keyframe interval works well; use about 4,500 kbps for 1080p30 and higher for 4K. Always keep your bitrate below your available upload speed.

RTMP or SRT to HLS playback is typically 10–20 seconds, while WHIP/WebRTC contribution and WHEP preview run sub-second. Final latency at each platform depends on that platform.

Yes. Cloud recording captures your live broadcast as video on demand on paid plans, ready to download, share, or turn into clips.

Yes. StreamRove Studio runs in your browser — invite guests with a link, share your screen, add overlays and scenes, then go live to every platform without installing software.

No. Any computer running OBS or vMix works, and StreamRove Studio needs only a browser and a webcam. No capture card is required for standard streaming.

Yes. Add any custom RTMP or SRT endpoint by entering its URL and stream key, so you can broadcast to platforms that are not listed by default.

Yes. Schedule live events ahead of time and premiere uploaded videos as live streams to all of your connected destinations.

The Free plan output and preview carry a small StreamRove watermark. Every paid plan removes it for clean, fully branded broadcasts.

StreamRove connects to YouTube and Twitch directly, and reaches Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Kick, Instagram, X, Rumble, Telegram and more via custom RTMP, SRT or WHIP.

No. StreamRove Studio runs entirely in your browser. You can also stream from OBS, vMix or any RTMP/SRT encoder if you prefer a desktop workflow.

Yes. Invite teammates to a workspace with owner, admin and member roles to collaborate on streams, channels and analytics.

Yes. StreamRove offers an API with personal API keys so you can automate stream creation, destinations and going live from your own tools and integrations.

Yes. From a recording or upload you can create short vertical clips and publish them to TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Yes. Sandbox is free permanently and needs no card — it is meant for validating a setup rather than running a channel. Paid plans add more simultaneous destinations, output hours, cloud recording and clips.
