What is an output hour?

One hour of video delivered to one destination. Broadcasting for two hours to four platforms uses eight output hours, because we deliver four streams for two hours each. Preview players and failed connections are not counted.

32output hours a month —covered by Relay.

Limits

Destinations, simultaneous broadcasts and connected channels are fixed by your plan. We tell you before you start, not halfway through.

Allowances

Output hours, recording and clips are monthly allowances. Running out never interrupts a broadcast that is on air — it stops the next one from starting. You are warned at 70% and 85%.

Included on every plan

  • Merged live chat (YouTube, Twitch, Kick)Beta
  • Background blur & replacement in the Studio
  • Live captions burned into your broadcastBeta
  • Instant replay — the last 10, 20 or 30 secondsBeta
  • Stream Deck & Bitfocus Companion controlBeta

These run in your browser and cost us nothing to serve, so they are not something to charge for. The ones marked Beta need Chrome or Edge.

Questions people actually ask

Nothing. A broadcast that is on air stays on air, and its recording finishes. The allowance stops the next broadcast from starting, not the one you are running. You are warned at 70% and 85% so it is never a surprise.

A channel is an account you have connected — a YouTube channel, a Twitch account, a custom RTMP endpoint. Destinations are how many of them one broadcast delivers to at the same time. You can connect far more channels than you can broadcast to at once, and swap between them per stream.

No. Allowances reset each month on your billing date, including on annual plans — an annual plan is twelve months of capacity, not one large month.

YouTube and Twitch connect with your account, so we can read the stream key and manage the broadcast for you. Everything else — Facebook, Kick, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Rumble and any other service — works as a custom RTMP destination: you paste a server URL and a key. It streams identically; it just isn't a one-click connection.

Yes, from Billing in your account. Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Downgrades apply at the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until that period ends.

Sandbox is free permanently rather than for a fortnight, and it needs no card. It is meant for validating a setup — one destination pair, an hour per broadcast, five output hours a month — not for running a production channel.
