Frequently asked questions

Can a public meeting be streamed to more than one place at once?

Yes — a council's own YouTube channel, a Facebook page and a custom RTMP endpoint for the municipal website can all receive the same broadcast simultaneously, which is usually what an access requirement actually asks for.

Is the meeting archived automatically?

On paid plans, with Record armed, the session captures as it streams and appears in Storage afterwards — so the archive is a by-product of broadcasting rather than a second job for somebody.

What if the room's internet is unreliable?

Use SRT rather than RTMP for the ingest: it is built for lossy links and recovers from packet loss that would stall an RTMP session. The health score tells you which one you are actually getting.

Can remote participants join the broadcast?

Yes. The Studio takes guests over a browser link, so a remote speaker or a signer can appear in the stream without being in the room.
