Produce a real show from a browser tab
StreamRove Studio is a live production room that runs in the browser. Bring in remote guests with a link, arrange them on screen, share your screen, play a clip, and send the finished picture to every platform at once — with nothing installed on anyone's machine.
It is the difference between streaming a webcam and producing a programme, without a desktop encoder in the middle.
Why produce in the browser
Guests join from a link
You send a URL. They open it, pick a camera and microphone, and they are in the show. No install, no account, no meeting client to talk them through on the phone beforehand.
Your machine sends one stream
The composition happens on our side, not on your laptop. Adding a fourth destination or a third guest does not cost you more upload or more CPU — which is exactly what a desktop encoder cannot promise.
Nothing to maintain
There is no scene collection to back up, no plugin that breaks on the next update, and no version drift between you and whoever runs the stream next week.
The same feed goes everywhere
The Studio publishes into the same stream as any other source, so every destination, the recording and the health monitoring work identically whether the picture came from a browser or from a rack of hardware.
What is in the room
Scenes and layouts
Solo, two-up, a gallery for a panel, picture-in-picture over a screen share, and vertical framing for short-form. Switch while you are live; the audience sees the cut, not the switching.
Name cards per person
Each participant gets a title card you edit on air. It is bound to the person, not to a tile, so a guest who drops out and rejoins comes back with their name still on them.
Screen sharing
Share a tab, a window or a whole screen as its own scene, with the presenter kept in a corner so the audience still sees who is speaking.
Play media into the show
Drop in an uploaded video or a clip and play it to the broadcast — an intro sting, a pre-recorded demo, a package — then cut back to the room.
Chat in one place
Messages from the platforms you are streaming to arrive in one panel, so nobody has to watch four browser tabs to see a question.
Record while you broadcast
On paid plans the session records as it goes out and lands in Storage when you stop, ready to publish or cut into clips.
Studio or a desktop encoder?
Both are good at different jobs. This is the honest split.
| StreamRove | Desktop encoder (OBS/vMix) | |
|---|---|---|
| Installation | ✓ Nothing, for you or your guests | Install and configure on every machine |
| Remote guests | ✓ A browser link | A separate call app, captured as a window |
| Upload from your connection | ✓ One stream | One stream (with a multi-output plugin, several) |
| Local CPU cost | ✓ Encoding happens off your machine | Every extra output is another encode |
| Hardware capture cards | — Not supported | ✓ Full support |
| Deep custom scenes and filters | — A focused set of layouts | ✓ Effectively unlimited |
| Works from a borrowed laptop | ✓ Yes | Only after installing and configuring it |
Going live from the Studio
- 1
Create a Studio stream
Pick Studio as the source when you create the stream. You get a room and a broadcast page; there is no stream key to copy anywhere.
- 2
Connect where it should go
Add your YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick or custom RTMP destinations. They stay attached to the stream for next time.
- 3
Invite your guests
Send the join link. They open it in a browser, grant camera and microphone, and appear in the room ready to be placed on screen.
- 4
Arrange and go live
Choose a scene, set the name cards, then start the broadcast. Layouts, titles and screen shares can all change while you are on air.
Frequently asked questions
Do my guests need a StreamRove account?
No. A guest opens the link you send, allows their camera and microphone, and joins. They never see your account, your destinations or your other streams.
Which browsers work?
Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on desktop, and mobile Chrome and Safari. The Studio uses WebRTC, which all of them support.
How many people can be on screen at once?
The gallery scene shows up to four at a time, and you can switch between scenes to bring different people forward without anyone leaving the room.
Can I record the show?
On paid plans the session records while it broadcasts and appears in Storage when you stop. Nothing is captured locally, so a browser crash does not take the recording with it.
Can I use the Studio and OBS for the same stream?
Not at the same moment — a stream takes one source at a time. Use the Studio for shows built around people, and point OBS at the stream's RTMP URL when you need capture cards or heavy scene work.
Is the Studio available on the free plan?
Yes, within the free plan's destination limit and with StreamRove branding on the output. Recording and higher quality come with a paid plan.
